Requirements

All pets must be free of contagious diseases or parasites.

Vaccines

Owners must provide proof of vaccine status. For your convenience, you may have your veterinarian fax them to us at 309-949-3403.

Current vaccines are required for all dogs and cats. These include:

  • Rabies (current)
  • Distemper/Parvo Combination (within 1 year)
  • Bordetella (every 6-12 months): We recommend dogs that are boarded or frequently groomed be vaccinated every 6 months for bordetalla. This is for the protection of your pet as well as our other boarders.

What to Bring

Please bring your pet to the kennel on a leash.

Medication

Please bring any necessary medication that your pet will need during his/her stay. We will need to know the reason for the medication and specific instructions on when to give it. Please alert our staff to any specific health issues.

Should your pet require medication during his stay, we will gladly administer it according to your directions at no additional charge with the exception of injectable medication. We do have a minimal charge per injection fee.

Favorite Food and Special Diets

Mallard Pointe Kennels encourages you to bring your pet's favorite food.

If your pet is on a special diet, you may bring your own food and we will feed it according to your instructions.

If bringing your food from home, please do not bring large or heavy containers or bags as storage is not available. We recommend bringing food in individual serving bags or small containers that have a little more than anticipated for your pet's stay.

If food is not brought, we will provide a high quality adult maintenance dog food. We provide all dishes for food and water.

Toys and Treats

Your pet's favorite toy and treats are welcome. Please label with your last name.

What Not to Bring

Bedding

Mallard Pointe provides clean and comfortable bedding for our guests. We request that you do not bring bedding from home due to the large volume of bedding that we must launder and keep track of.
